As the manager of the three-person legal department, you will assume comprehensive legal responsibility for the ELA Group. You will ensure that all business activities comply with legal requirements and internal guidelines, minimise legal risks and support the company's objectives by providing sound legal advice. 

Your Future Role

  • Management and leadership of the legal department and coordination of internal and external legal advisors
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and internal guidelines
  • Development and implementation of legal strategies in line with business interests
  • Legal advice to management and specialist departments
  • Drafting, reviewing and further developing contracts, agreements and guidelines
  • Representing the company in legal disputes and managing external representation
  • Monitoring legal developments relevant to the company
  • Advising our business units and subsidiaries in the UK and abroad

  • Ensuring data protection requirements are met and implemented

What You Bring to the Team

  • Successfully completed degree in commercial law (LL.M.) or law (2nd state examination in law)
  • Several years of professional experience, preferably in the legal department of a company or a commercial law firm as a commercial lawyer or fully qualified lawyer (m/f/x), with an international focus, is required
  • Several years of management experience desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of civil law, corporate law, contract law, labour law and compliance
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and monitor resources and projects
  • Deep understanding of business processes and motivation to optimise them
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
