Your study at ELA

Business administration deals with the planning, organisational and computational decisions in companies. At the Institute for Dual Courses of Study at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences (Lingen Campus), it is oriented towards all sectors and also takes into account the increasingly international activities of companies, in order to open up a wide range of professional fields of application for you as a graduate. Here you will be prepared for the goal-oriented planning and control of business processes and projects.

You will develop a broad knowledge of the fundamentals of business administration, economics and business law. You can deepen this knowledge in the selectable specialisations. In addition, you will develop skills for working in interdisciplinary teams. You will also learn about management in international contexts through internationally oriented modules.

You study at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences at the Lingen campus.
The standard period of study is three years (six semesters).
Your lectures take place in blocks
During your practical phases in the company, you will get to know departments such as marketing, purchasing, sales and accounting.
Your Bachelor's thesis will deal with a topic within the company and examine it on a scientific basis
You have the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) integrated into your studies, for example, the apprenticeship as an industrial clerk (m/f/x).

What you should bring with you

General or subject-linked higher education entrance qualification
Good grades in mathematics, German and English
Commitment and interest in commercial activities
Enjoy working in a team and the ability to work independently
Communication and organisational skills
Very good knowledge of German and good written and spoken English

Information on the application procedure

If you apply for an apprenticeship with us, you will receive feedback from us by e-mail in the month of your application, at the latest within four weeks. This will inform you whether we will invite you to an initial personal meeting.
These meetings usually take the form of group discussions at our head office in Haren (Ems). There you will also receive more detailed information about training at ELA.
